The collection includes thirty-two audiocassettes of lectures given by Bob and Pat Coblentz to docents in 1977 to 1978, and guest lecture series from 1976 to 1980.

The collection is closed for research due to the condition of the audiocassettes. Upon digitization of the tapes, all restrictions will be lifted.

The Tevis Audiocassette Collection is owned by the American Folk Art Museum. The collection is subject to all copyright laws, and is dedicated to public use for research, study, and scholarship.
Biographical Note
Eleanora Tevis became involved with the Museum of American Folk Art in 1975, when Bruce Johnson was the director. Tevis worked with Johnson on his exhibition American Cat-alogue: The Cat in American Folk Art. After Johnson’s death, Tevis continued to volunteer with the museum, becoming active in the newly established docent program.
Tevis recorded many of the lectures on various folk art topics given to the docents by Bob and Pat Coblentz from 1977-1978. Tevis also recorded many of the guest lecture series from 1977 to early 1980, including lectures given by Robert Bishop.

Abstract
The Tevis Audiocassette Collection includes thirty-two audiocassettes of lectures given by Bob and Pat Coblentz to docents in 1977 and 1978, and guest lecture series from 1976 to 1980. The lectures were recorded by American Folk Art Museum docent Eleanora Tevis.
Arrangement
Audiocassettes were numbered in approximate chronological order by Tevis at the time of donation.
