Series III: Reference Material, 1970s-1990s
Scope and Contents
This series consists of reference material from the archives of Gerald Kornblau relating to American folk art paintings and sculpture, but predominantly to sculpture. Rare manufacturer catalogs, including two copies of the 1875 J. W. Fiske weathervane catalog that Kornblau reprinted, are included. The inventory for the Wichmann Collection of Pennsylvania German decorative art that Kornblau cataloged for Sotheby’s is also included. Item level inventory lists for all three series are included.

The collection is open for research. Access to sensitive materials may be restricted at the discretion of the American Folk Art Museum.
